LETTERS FROM VICTORIAN PIONEERS
The details of the contents of the manuscript collection of the ‘Letters from Victorian Pioneers’ are given below. The contents and numbering of the manuscript letters do not always agree with the published contents of the letters in Bride, Thomas Francis, ed. Letters from Victorian Pioneers: being a series of papers on the early occupation of the colony, the aborigines, etc., addressed by Victorian Pioneers to his Excellency Charles Joseph La Trobe, Esq. Lieutenant-Governor of the Colony of Victoria. Melbourne Government Printer for the Trustees of the Public Library, 1898. The manuscript collection contains 65 letters but only 57 letters are included in T.F. Bride's published collection as letters 59-65 do not deal specifically with letters about the early occupation of the Colony.
