John Barnes is a former Editor of the La Trobe Journal. Having reached the years of indiscretion, he hopes to write more memoirs.
Mimi Colligan writes on 19th century popular culture and is currently preparing a biography of actress Rose (Edouin) Lewis. At Monash University during the 1970s, Mimi was one of Harold Love's research assistants for his biographies of W. S. Lyster and J. E. Neild.
Des Cowley is the Rare Printed Collections Manager, State Library of Victoria. He is co-author of The World of the Book, published by the Meigunyah Press in 2007.
Gavin De Lacy completed a PhD thesis at Monash University on literary and bohemian life in Melbourne in the 1930s and is now the general manager of Australian Book Auctions.
Derham Groves is a Senior Lecturer in Architecture at the University of Melbourne and the first Australian member of the Baker Street Irregulars. Currently he is working on a book about the ‘forgotten’ Melbourne architect, Arthur Purnell.
Robin Lucas is a Melbourne writer, who completed her MA on Nettie Palmer's Fourteen Years in 2002.
Terence O'Neill is a Research Fellow in Australian Studies at Monash University and is Associate Editor of the multi-volume The Bibliography of Australian Literature.
Peter Pierce is a Distinguished Professor at the National Centre for Australian Studies, Monash University, and Editor of The Cambridge History of Australian Literature.
Angus Trumble is Senior Curator of Paintings and Sculpture at the Yale Center for British Art in New Haven, Connecticut.
Chris Wallace-Crabbe is a Brunswick poet and essayist. He is also a Professor Emeritus in the School of Historical Studies, University of Melbourne. His latest book of poetry is Telling a Hawk from a Handsaw (Carcanet Oxford Poets). He also writes on the visual arts.
Graham Willett is a Senior Lecturer in Australian Studies at the University of Melbourne. He is the author of Living Out Loud: a history of Gay and Lesbian activism in Australia (2000) and is currently researching the life and times of Laurie Collinson.
The State Library of Victoria Foundation
was established in 1994 to raise funds to support the State Library of Victoria. It encourages and promotes private philanthropy and corporate sponsorship for State Library projects, including preservation of Victoria's cultural heritage, conservation of valuable collections, acquisitions of items of historical significance, and delivery of educational programs and research services to the community.
